I have always believed in Labor values of the "we" not the "I". It's not about me, but what I can do to contribute to others. My skills and experience are corporate, so that's where I want to contribute and why I'm coming forward for election as Mayor. Maureen Searson
Councillor Candidate
Maureen is an advocate for her community and community issues, protecting the local environment and supporting the transition to a net zero carbon economy. She is member of Southcoast Health and Sustainability Alliance (SHASA) and serves on the Disability Inclusion Committee of Eurobodalla Shire Council. Maureen campaigned for a Level 4 Hospital to provide the full range of health and hospital services currently not available to the community here in the Eurobodalla.
Trish Ellis (OAM)
Councillor Candidate
Patricia (Trish) Ellis OAM is a respected Aboriginal elder of the Brinja Yuin people of Moruya. She is a recognised community leader in the Eurobodalla who shares her cultural knowledge and language to her community and the communities and groups down the South Coast. Trish has been working at TAFE NSW for over 40 years, and also at Carroll College and St Bernards, teaching language and culture. She founded Minga Aboriginal Cultural Services in 2018 and is one of the most prominent tour providers in the Eurobodalla.
Gail Vincent
Councillor Candidate
Gail Vincent was born in country NSW and has lived in the Eurobodalla for 15 years She has an Honours degree in Art History, qualifications in Counselling and Psychotherapy and has worked in a wide range of administrative areas, both public and private. She regularly contributes to discussions about issues that impact the Batemans Bay community. She understands the impact that health and disability can have on quality of life, and is a champion for people with chronic illness, disabilities, and those with responsibilities for children and grandchildren.
