Gail Vincent

Gail is a long-term member of the University of the Third Age (U3A) here in the Eurobodalla, is a keen researcher of history and genealogy, and has a Diploma in Family History from the University of Tasmania.

Gail was a foundation member of the local community action group that protested against Council’s decision to close and sell the Batemans Bay Community Centre. She was also a member of the group which for many years lobbied for a covered swimming pool in Batemans Bay.

Gail wants the Bay to have a “heart,” including more fun places where teenagers and their families can gather on rainy days. 

“I am saddened by the lack of facilities where our community members can meet – families, young people and interest groups.  I am dedicated to re-opening the Batemans Bay Community Centre, as is the whole Labor team. This wonderful, accessible facility was built from funds raised by the community so it should go back to the community.”
